Privacy

Practice stays on the phone. The camera feed, pose data, scores and progress are processed and stored on the device (browser storage). The camera is never recorded or uploaded.

Teams and the feed are the only things that leave the phone, and only when you post. A team is a private group: its messages, clips and routines are stored on our server and visible only to that team's members. The public feed is public — anyone on Mimic can watch what you post there. You can delete your own posts at any time.

Identity. Teams and the feed use an anonymous sign-in tied to this phone plus the first name you choose. No email, phone number or password is collected. Clearing the site data signs that identity out for good.

Children. Mimic is built for young dancers with a parent or coach. Please use a first name only and never post a clip you would not want public. Coaches can remove any clip from their team.

Other network requests are for the app itself and for the open-source pose model files (Google MediaPipe) fetched from a public CDN. Those requests contain no camera data.

To delete everything local, clear this site's data in your browser settings, or remove imported routines from the Dance tab. To delete a team or feed content you posted, use the delete controls in the app or email us.
